about
aurelisa juan,
I build and tinker with systems that bridge people and technology. For me, coding isn’t just problem-solving, it’s about shaping tools that feel intuitive, meaningful, and built for the future.
Recently, I’ve won 10 hackathons, including first place at the largest 24-hour hackathon in the US, presented to Goldman Sachs and more sponsors at University of Texas, Dallas, built an AI-powered telephonic banking system that allows anyone, anywhere, to access their accounts even through a landline.
I also co-built Toastology with my siblings: a playful MBTI toast quiz that went viral and reached 50k+ audiences worldwide. It showed me how creativity and technical execution can combine to reach people far beyond what we expect.
Outside of code, I’m a cinephile drawn to thrillers, action, sci-fi, and crime films. Film is the other half of my lens. The way a director frames a scene isn’t so different from the way an engineer designs an interface. Both ask: how do you guide attention, emotion, and decision-making? That crossover fuels my work.
I’m fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia, currently studying Chinese, and experimenting with Korean, German, French, and Japanese.
